THE FINAL

Betting was tight between the first three, with Rock Callan going off at 7/4, just in front of Keel Creamery at 5/2. The outsider of the sextet was the One dog, G.R.Archduke at a shade over 14/1. As the traps went up it was G.R.Archduke who broke best on the inside and built up a lead around the first. Irish Rambler had not broken quite as well on the outside, but challenged at the second bend and continued to do so until the fourth. As Irsih faded so Duna Taxmaid built up a challenge and it was nip and tuck to the line, with G.R.Archduke prevailing by a neck, with the fast finishing favourite, Rock Callan, claiming third spot.
