THE FINAL
In a close betting heat it was Black Mire who went off the 9/4 favourite, closely follwed by Ballylanigan Tanist at 11/4. Howver, the punters were in for an early shock when the outside trio led them up. Atomic Line made best use of his wide box to lead around the first even though he was a railer, from Mad Miller and Rapid Choice. At the first, as Atomic cut across he met trouble with Rushton Smutty, and gave Ballyanigan the opportunity it needed to sneak up the inside.From here on in the race was a procession, with Ballyanigan Tanist winning by two and a half lengths from the fast finishing Black Mire, with Rushton Smutty a further two and three quarter lengths back in third.
