The 205th winner of the 2000 Guineas, held on Saturday 4th May 2013 over the Rowley Mile, was Dawn Approach (11/8 fav), a chestnut colt by New Approach out of Hymn of the Dawn, owned by Godolphin. The winner won by an impressive 5 lengths in 1 minute 35.84 secs, with 2 1/4 lengths back to the third. A field of 13 runners contested the race which was worth £226,840 (Equivalent to £245,000 in 2017)
