Records show that racing took place at Aberystwith as early as 1825 and lasted at the same venue until the final meeting on 20th November 1851.

Racing resumed in 1855 and continued until 18th September 1883.

Key Questions still to be answered:-

  • Where was the course situated?

  • What shape and distance was it?

  • What remains of the course today?

  • Can anyone provide a map, badge or racecard from the course?
