BOSTON GREYHOUND STADIUM

Whilst speedway did not arrive at the Boston Sports Stadium until 1970, the stadium was used for greyhounds for the previous 6 years, holding their first meeting on 1st June 1964.

However, greyhound racing had taken place earlier in Boston when a track opened around the local football pitch in 1932. The venture was relatively short-lived as the track closed at the outbreak of War in 1939.
