| Cardiff has seen greyhound racing at a number of venues, notably at the Arms Park and Cardiff White City. The White City was the first to hold meetings, with its inaugural meeting on 7th April 1928 making it one of the earliest. Shortly afterwards, on 26th May 1928 the Arms Park track was opened around the perimeter of the famous Rugby pitch. | |||||||
Mick the Miller won the Welsh Derby in August 1930, although it was run at the White City, Cardiff and he won in a time of 29.55 which was a World Record at the time. My thanks to Tony Nash for providing the detail. |
