The Derby Stakes of 50 Guineas each for 3 year olds, colts to carry 8 st and fillies 7 st 11 lb. To be run over the last mile with a first prize of £945 (The equivalent of £135,450 in today's terms based on Bank of England inflation calculator). The winner was trained by Frank Neale.
