This was run on Wednesday 4th June 1924 and the winner wasbred by the 17th Earl of Derby and trained by Honorable George Lambton at Newmarket. There were 27 runners from an initial entry of 332. The winner won by 6 lengths with a neck between second and third. The winners time was 2 mins 46.6 secs. The winner won a first prize of £11,755, (The equivalent of £680,000 in today's terms based on Bank of England inflation calculator).
