This was run on Wednesday 4th June 1930 and the winner was bred by the 6th Earl of Carnarvon and trained by Richard (Dick) C.Dawson at Whatcombe. There were 17 runners from an initial entry of 316. The winner won by a length with 2 lengths between second and third. The winners time was 2 mins 38.2 secs. The winner won a first prize of £10,036 5s, (The equivalent of £623,600 in today's terms based on Bank of England inflation calculator).
