This was run on Wednesday 29th May 1968 and the winner was bred by Mrs Alice Hedley Bell and trained by M.Vincent O'Brien. There were 13 runners and the winning time was 2 mins 38.7 secs. The winner won by 1 1/2 lengths to claim a first prize of £58,525 10s, (The equivalent of £965,000 in today's terms based on Bank of England inflation calculator).
