This was run on Wednesday 6th June 1984 and the winner was bred by Mr Edward P Taylor, trained by David V.O'Brien and owned by Luigi Miglietti. There were 17 runners and the winning time was 2 mins 39.12 secs. The winner won by a Short Head with 3 lengths back to the third. The winner won a first prize of £227,680, (The equivalent of £695,800 in today's terms based on Bank of England inflation calculator).
