FORT ERIE RACECOURSE  
The Fort Erie racecourse is situated in the Ontario region of Canada. It was built by the Fort Erie Jockey Club and first opened on 16th June 1897.
  Its principal race is the Prince of Wales Stakes run over 1 3/16 mile for 3 year olds.

 

 
The Prince of Wales was first contested in 1929 when the Henry Little ridden Lion Hearted was successful.
  In 2008 the Prince of Wales winner was Harlem Rocker ridden by Eibar Coa.
