Henri De Bromhead trained the first and second, repeating the feat of William Costello in 1908. He trained Rubio and Mattie Macgregor to first and second place in the 1908 Grand Nationl. He trained at Danebury Stables managed by Fred Worthington, but nevertheless it was W Costello who held the trainer's licence and trained the two horses. See Grand National 1908
