HASTINGS PARK RACECOURSE  
The Hastings Park racecourse can be found in Vancouver in British Columbia. It opened in 1889 when known as East Park racecourse. Its principal races are the Group 3 British Columbia Derby and Oaks, as well as the Ballerina Breeder's Cup Stakes.
  It also hosts the Futurity Stakes.

 

 
The British Columbia Derby is run over 9 furlongs for 3 year olds and was first introduced in 1948 when Ohsodry was successful. In 2008 the David Wilson ridden Krazy Koffee prevailed.
  The 2008 Oaks was won by Blue Sky Holiday prevailing by 1 3/4 lengths.
