After settling for 2 furlongs Lisvarna continued to lead, with Irish Republic taking closer order. With just 3 furlongs to run Irish Republic beat a retreat, while Lisvarna swung wide into the straight allowing The Kiwi through on the inside and Dictation mounting a challenge in the centre.
