MEDITERRANEO RACECOURSE  
The Mediterraneo racecourse, Ippodromo Mediterraneo, is located near the Italian city of Siracusa. It sprang from an idea first muted in 1993, with the track finally being opened on 8th December 1995.
  The main race was the Gran Premio UNIRE which was won by the Willie Carson ridden Lord Carmelo  
By 2000 the first trotting race meeting was held. The principal race at the track nowadays is the Memorial Francesco Faraci which has been contested each December since 2000.
