The 140th New Oaks Stakes took place over the Suffolk Stakes Course in Newmarket on Thursday 6th June 1918 and was won by My Dear (3/1 fav), by Beppo out of Silesia trained by Alec Taylor jnr, who won by 4 lengths in 2 mins 34.80 secs. The winner won £3,400 (Equivalent to £216,300 in 2017) and there were 15 runners.
