FIRST MEETING
Records show that a meeting took place at Pershore on Tuesday 26th October 1847 and involved the Pershore Stakes which was run in 4 heats as was the norm in those days. The race took place over a mile and a half and the winner was due to be sold for 100 sovereigns. The result was :-

Just under a mile from the town of Pershore in Worcestershire countryside, between Worcester and Evesham, close to Pershore Railway Station.

FACT
Racing did resume after the Great War in 1920.

Little evidence of a racecourse and is now a trading estate.
