| Romford hosted greyhound racing on 20th September 1930. The principal race was the Romford Essex Vase over 575 metres. Dolores Rocket was one of the great greyhounds to win the event with a success in 1971. | |||||||

By 1988 Romford was hosting such prestigious events as the Champion Stakes over 575 metres or 629 yards. The first winner of the event was Dads Flier, but a full list of winners is shown below. |
