WIGAN (WOODHOUSE LANE)GREYHOUND STADIUM

The Lancashire town of Wigan had two greyhound tracks in the past, the first at Woodhouse Lane being situated at 2° 39' W 53° 33' N. The independently run track opened on 17th March 1928.

It closed for the final time in 1961 and the site on which the track once stood is now a housing estate.
