MOE RACECOURSE
Moe Racecourse can be found some 84 miles East of Melbourne off the Gippsland Highway.
Although there is some evidence that racing did take place in the vicinity of Moe in the early 1910's the sport did not get the full support of the locals.#It was relatively late in the day that Moe Racing Club was established in 1945 and the ground on Waterloo Road starting bringing in keen racing enthusiasts.

By 1970 the facilities were extended to include a Members enclosure and dining room.
The principal race is the Moe Cup which was first contested in 1979 and it immediately attracted interest from the highest quality of racehorse. The 1980 running of the Cup was won by the New Zealand horse Magistrate.
