NHILL RACECOURSE
Approached via the Western Highway, Nhill Racecourse can be found about 50 miles North of Horsham in the State of Victoria.
There is no firm evidence, but it is believed racing took place as early as 1881, and there is a record of a meeting being held at Nhill in 1883 when the Nhill and West Wimmera Race Club held its first meeting.

It was in 1930 that the Club changed its name to its current Nhill Race Club and some time later merged with both Kaniva and Lockhart.
The principal race is the Jim Butchery Nhill Cup contested each Boxing Day.
